To our customers, LEGO Fans and friends,
We hope you and your families are keeping safe and well. We're sure you've been busy, building away, creating some fantastic LEGO creations over the past few weeks. We are indeed living in unprecedented times. I've been asked numerous times by my daughter 'Daddy, did you build lots of LEGO when Covid-19 came when you were little'. It has undoubtedly been a challenge for everyone, but together we will all overcome this.
At this time of year, we would typically be flat out preparing for our award-winning LEGO Education Summer Camps. But this year is very different. As I'm sure you are aware there is a lot of uncertainty around what services will be in operation this summer. Our No. 1 priority is the safety and well being of your children. Unless we receive clear notification and guidelines from the government and the HSE, and we feel that we can deliver a safe and fun-packed summer camp, we will refrain from doing so.
With this in mind, we are currently looking at the possibility of offering a 'Digital' version of our Summer Camps. We are now in the development stages and hope to announce some details soon. Be sure to pre-register to be first to find out further information (Click Here to Pre-Register).
Alongside that, we are working away with a number of our partners developing plans for the coming school year and beyond. Initiatives such as FIRST LEGO League and our partnership with the DCU LEGO Education Innovation Studio will be there to keep the children of Ireland inquisitive, engaged and excited by the world of STEM.
Here at Learnit, our team are safe at home with our families. As you may or may not know we are a small, family-owned, 100% Irish business. And when we say family, we don't just mean myself and my wife, Pauline. Our team, Niamh, Rob, Mervyn & Olive-Anne, along with all of our instructors, are part of the Learnit family.
While we have all been greatly affected by the current situation, with our business closing the day the schools shut down, we acted quickly to place Learnit into 'hibernation' so that we will awake fresh and strong when the time comes.
We'd also like to take this time to thank all of the frontile staff, from the nurses and doctors to the staff keeping our local shops open. Thank you!
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay happy, and soon we'll be building LEGO together again.
